The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through an efficient.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt as well as pet hair and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however, this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and effectively. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly expensive price, but has a variety of innovative features. It's important to note that it incurs regular expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan, which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was beginning or completing its task.

The app was too easy and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process.  automated vacuum cleaner  to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
